Raleigh Denim + the CURATORY
I've heard of Raleigh Denim in the past, but I recently explored their site to learn more about their jeans and their process. Raleigh Denim is an apparel company with a mission to produce quality jeans using local materials (NC has a long history in the textile industry) and traditional construction methods (i.e. no mass-production machines, only vintage sewing machines). Each pair of jeans is inspected by the owners, Victor and Sarah Lytvinenko, who hand-sign each pair that makes the cut. Each pair also receives a leather patch with a hand-stamped edition number. It's all in the details and the personal touches...
Within the Raleigh Denim workshop on West Martin Street in Raleigh exists the Curatory: a boutique that carries a lovely collection of items made on-site, including Raleigh Denim jeans of course, and other goods made by selected artisans. Shop local this holiday!
